An Comhairle Chraiceáilte is an innovation and creativity programme for public‑service employees in Dublin. The programme was developed to equip staff members who have Irish with the innovation skills needed to create the bilingual services of our future.
Participants attend workshops, practical activities and inspirational visits, and they take part in a series of nine training sessions from the beginning to the end of the programme. The programme creates spaces for them to identify the opportunities that Irish can bring to their work areas and to develop innovative solutions. The scheme is aimed at all kinds of workers — from architects to librarians — and it shows staff that all of our work has a linguistic impact.
As part of the scheme, all participants must develop projects.
